When I am at peace, looking out at a beautiful view as a reward for a long hike, I often try to imagine what Heaven will be like. People are usually wrong when we try to imagine what we will be doing in five days let alone five years. Knowing the character of God and that He is love the only hope we have to inspire our imaginings in the right directions. That, and seeing the seemingly endless diversity of life.
I imagine Heaven as not only that great city with Jesus as our light, but also our new purpose as God's ambassadors, as Ellen White also mentions, and how amazing it will be to voyage among the stars our LORD has made.
Hi! I'm Danny. I love the LORD. I am a story teller - stick around long enough and I'll tell you mine. :)
I feel people are Heaven's spilled treasures, put into our lives on purpose. And someday, I will be very grateful for each and every day I have waited around as a single man to visit with people in hopes of meeting someone who might become extra special to me.
You know, someone who loves love, life and the LORD - who is wise enough to be in the practice of being mindful of people so that I know it is not only going to be me being mindful of her; someone who will have my back; someone more than attracted to me who I would find more than attractive ... these are all the biggest steps in the right direction I can think of.
When was the last time you were in the zone? I see all these lists on here, people describing things they do. When was the last time you did any of those things on your lists? And what do you like about them, when you do?
Three men who said baseball was their favorite thing were asked why. The first said, because its fun. The second said it was because he enjoyed feeling he could be a part of it, eating his hot dog and cheering with the crowd. The third just loved to run with the ball while everyone watched. When the first was asked to explain what was fun about it, he said he didn't know. After a few more questions, he said because his dad had liked it. Which man would you have more in common with? Me, I don't like baseball that much. LOL
Sometimes being in the zone is fun; it is being with someone you love; for some it is the thrill of escaping danger; feeling the euphoria of blood warming you all over after any exertion at all; or having the attention of someone you like - or even just remembering that last time you felt any of that. The stuff you mentioned in your profile, that's not you being in your zone. Is it? It might even be you just remembering the one time you did one of those things, or for some of you ... the last time you saw someone do them on TV?
I will happily exchange letters, yet only if you are willing to plan to meet in person and prove you are who you claim to be. I am who I claim to be, employed as an Awake Overnight Residential Counselor, but just call me an up-late safety guy. At least for now.
I enjoy the outdoors frequently, occasional camping, local travel and the rare road trip. I will read your profile, but that doesn't replace communication. Please, say hello. :) Then say more.

I have rarely had more fun than in a game of balderdash with friends or falling down a hill on skis with friends. Pretty sure most fun has been with someone else so, not as often lately. Lol
Okay I guess I love Thai spicy stir fry and vanilla banana custard best right now, though avocado sushi with tempura sweet potato or restaraunt melty queso are supremely awesome and I love a lot more foods than that.
The Women of Genesis series by Orson Scott Card. I despise all periodicals so far.
