I am an African American Creole lady from New Orleans with mixed ancestry. I love to cook my Creole food and I also enjoy music, dancing, shopping, traveling, (especially spending time on the beach) reading, movies, and ancestry research to name a few. I have been living in the Pacific North West since 1988. So I consider Washington state to be my home now. I was raised in a Baptist church and when I became an adult I started going to a Non Denominational church. However I have all ways wanted to do things God's way. Sometimes I would let people and things interfere with that. I decided to really dig deep into the bible. I was so anxious to please God that I started having a bible study with Jehovah's Witnesses. They are nice people and very dedicated to what they believe. However during my search for bible truths, I discovered that some of their teachings were not bible based. So I pulled away from studying with the Witnesses. I started reading the bible for myself and doing research online. The one thing that stood out for me was the Sabbath. No one had ever told me how important that was. Through my research on this subject I found that the Sabbath was a very special day that God set aside for his people. I then contacted an Adventist church and started having bible study in my home. So long story short, I am new to the Adventist church but I know that the more I pray and ask God for guidance, I will grow spiritually. I am own this site in hopes of meeting that special someone that God has hand picked for me. Even though I am in my late fifties, I believe its never to late to find true love.
