Last reading: I enjoy reading, although there rarely seems there's enough time to read everything on my list. My first choice is the Bible. The Lord's word is life. His promises are amazing, and they offer such strength.

I am in the process of reading the Desire of Ages again. It is one of my favorites along with Steps to Christ and Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings.

I was reading in Hebrews and Acts of the Apostles together, and so many things struck me, but here is one that was especially impactful, "If those who today are teaching the word of God, would uplift the cross of Christ higher and still higher, their ministries would be far more successful. Without the cross, man could have no union with the Father. On it depends our every hope. From it shines the light of the Saviour's love, and when at the foot of the cross the sinner looks up to the One who died to save him, he may rejoice in the fullness of joy, for his sins are pardoned. Kneeling in faith at the cross, he has reached the highest place to which man can attain" (AA 209, 210).

When I have time, I also enjoy reading a magazine about another destination or the beauty of nature found there. I might also be found reading a magazine about racing motorcycles or how to get more power from an engine. LOL
