Brief history. I was born in Chicago, Illinois. My father was transferred to Aurora, Colorado right before I entered kindergarten, so I essentially grew up in Colorado. I presently live in Aurora where I own a modest home in what I consider a nice neighborhood. I share this home with 2 pekingese dogs, a German shepherd, iguana, parrot, and several aquariums.
Brief description. I am 52 y/o, but am told I look much younger. I am a touch under five foot six tall, nicely proportioned, fit and trim. Brown/brown. I am employed as a rehab therapist and graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.
Brief personality. I am a very down to earth man, laid back, (not a type A personality), kind, compassionate, sensitive to others feelings, and somewhat reserved. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy light hearted conversation. Spiritually minded with God being very important in my life. I am well groomed and free of any STDs and expect the same. I am not into uncommitted sex, but have a healthy respect for myself. Bordering on old fashioned.
Hobbies/interests. I enjoy dining out, nature, the outdoors, reading, theater, concerts, museums, traveling when able, animals, hiking, and am open to what you like to do. My best friend is my German shepherd dog. I am presently seeing a trainer every Saturday morning with him for personal protection training. He is the best of the best and the pride of my life. Loyal. No better friend and no worst enemy. He is my every day buddy and we go on a lot of hikes. The simple things in life is what I enjoy the most.
Turn offs. 1. Sexually transmitted disease/promiscuity. 2. Overweight. 3. Smoking/heavy drinking and partying. 4. Those with grandiose expectations bordering on the delusional. 5. Atheists/Liberals.
I'm not looking for the perfect woman because such a person does not exist. If she did it would never work out because I'm not. Every one has their strengths and weaknesses. I'm secure in myself and if I have to stay single I can do it. Its much more enjoyable though, sharing life with someone you really enjoy being with. I am who I am. I'm not going to put on a mask to play a part to gain someones approval. I'm going into this with an open mind.
I am the product of two God fearing parents who raised me the best way they knew how. They taught me that honesty and integrity are the most important things in life. God is the most important thing to me at this stage in my life. Look around us. The world is changing rapidly. So many Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled. Believe it or not it is reality. You can choose to ignore it or embrace it. Regardless, it will effect you in a positive or negative way depending how you view it. I take each day at a time and enjoy what it has in store for me. You never know, it could be your last. Fate is different for everyone. You have to accept yours and play with the cards that were dealt to you. There are a lot of people that have more than me, but a lot that have less. In the end we are all going to die. You have no choice in this matter. You really don't "Own" anything in this life. We are just vessels passing through. I don't mean to sound bleak and negative. I am reality based. When you realize these things you tend to want to grasp enjoyment out of life for however long God has given it to you for, before He pulls the plug.
Who would I really like to meet? A simple down to earth person with good morals and values. Someone that can appreciate a decent man.
