I am just about to step out into the world, even though at first glance it would seem like I am pretty old to be taking the first steps.. It probably makes me a late bloomer.
I am not sure why I think that's the most interesting thing about me! :/ hahaha..
Yes,so fair warning: you'll likely find me,a solid 5 feet 6 and a half inches of wide-eyed, curiosity, trembling in a mixture of apprehension, delight and excitement, naive to the core, brimming of hopes, dreams and smiles, completely outfitted with my brand new "Adventure-boots" on both feet!! :)
In case you'd like to catch a bigger glimpse of this little weirdo (me) , here is a link to the one question I replied on Quora, "What are the perks of dating you?" :https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-perks-of-dating-you/answer/Annie-Francis-1?srid=u5Sm4&share=6e9e83cf
Well, to be fair, I do love music! I play the piano and violin.. Going to be resuming classes for them soon (I am still learning!) so Yaaay!
I also love reading, watching the night sky, going on nature adventures, writing, annoying my mother and brothers and of course.. dreaming! Food is very important too.
Last but not the least, I love my Heavenly Father as well as my Earthly father along with the mother and brothers that I am so privileged to have to annoy..
Hmm... That's all I've got to say right now.. If I think of something more I will be sure to get back and let you know! :)
There is this sly looking peice of advice here saying I should write something to "entice" people. Scary isn't it?
It's alright though! Don't worry. Because me? more than anything, I would like to be your friend! :)

The most wonderful section of the supermarket is the fruits and vegetables section. I love to go and just drink in all the colour and relish the apparent freshness. Mangoes are my favourite fruit (the Filipino mangoes are so far on top of the list!) and also jackfruit when my Mom turns it into curry! Yum!
Pizza! Yes! :) And chocolate.. Even though lately, after going vegan I haven't been getting much of them! No regrets though! :)
My favourite colour is blue!
My favourite time of the day is the night! And the night sky with the stars with their constellations, the moon and the planets and little satellites blinking as they span across the dark blue canvass.. It's easy to get lost in the night sky.
My favourite singers are Josh Groban and Andre Bocelli, whose concert I went to see in Manila, and it was one of the biggest highlights of my life, a gift from my dear friends.
My favourite instrument is the piano.. And I love the touch of the keys as you push them gently away from your fingers, coaxing the music out of them.
My favourite book is one I grew up with, Seasons of the Heart, which is actually a compilation of four books by Jeanette Oke. I practically grew up with Joshua Chadwick Jones, the male protagonist.. That book didn't survive the years though and fell apart by the seams from having been repeatedly read.
My favorite author is Khaled Housseini, the author of The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and And The Mountains Echoed. He split my rib cage and tore my heart right out.
My favourite type of books are those that tell the stories of real people and their experiences. Especially of those who've suffered the greatest injustices and cruelty. I count it my duty and honour to read them and ensure that their stories are not forgotten, that their voices will never be silenced. Corrie Ten Boom's The Hiding Place, Ellie Weisel's Night, Anne Frank's Diary, all pertaining to the same atrocious event, marring earth's history.. Along with other books marking various events.
My favourite sport is cricket. If you are from either India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand, Australia or England and a few other countries, then there is little chance you'd know what I am talking about.. I am an avid fan! :)
My favourite sportsman is Kumar Sangakkara, a Sri Lankan cricket player, a true gentleman before anything else. He makes me proud to be Sri Lankan.
My favourite place is NuwaraEliya, a district based high up in the mountains of Central Sri Lanka. I can barely stand the cold, especially in the night but I would give up a lot just to be surrounded by the fragrance of roses and to be caressed by the coolest, freshest breeze.
And finally, my favourite person is yet to be met.
My most recent read was this remarkable biography called "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi, a neurosurgeon with a terminal cancer diagnosis. Face to face with his own mortality he writes to make us face our own. The book was published after his death.
