Would love to meet new people, make friends, chat...etc :)
Born and raised Canada...eh:) Presently, I work with at risk parents and their children. I enjoy hiking, traveling, spending time with my awesome family and wonderful friends. I've been described as laid-back, open minded and passionate. I love my Jesus, my family, my friends and hopes someday I can share my journey with a best friend.
My past relationships have taught me...
Patience and forgiveness...
To me, being an Adventist means...
being part of a spiritual family.
In five years, I see myself
I have plans but God knows what's really in store for me.
There's a yiddish saying:
מענטש טראַכט, גאָט לאַכט
Mentsch tracht, Gott lacht.
Translation: Man plans, God laughs.
My favorite Bible passage is...
2 Corinthians 4:1-18. You can ask me why.
-I'm an adoptive mom to 3 brilliant children: 9, 6, 3. For some reason God placed us together and I'm very thankful that He did.
-There's a lot of laughter and love in my life. I rarely get stressed because God's taking care of me. In terms of my personality: I'm almost right at the center between Type A and B, but slightly leaning towards A.
-Hmmm, I've been trying to figure out how to put this but: I'm not looking for someone, for example: I'm looking for a man that is ....., that can be....., I want him to .....
Does that make sense?
If it's God's will and He thinks I can praise Him and follow Him better with someone by my side, then so be it:) He will determine what that man should be like....I like surprises.... however, I regard honesty, integrity, faithfulness, kindness, open mindedness, humor, humility highly in a person... So if he wears sneakers instead of leather dress shoes on our first date...I wouldn't probably notice...
Personally, I don't like encounters that's similar to a job interview! I'm looking for a life partner....I'm not trying to get a job as an assistant.
"There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be venerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it in tack, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in a casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket-safe, dark, motionless and airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside of Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers perturbations of love is Hell." C.S Lewis.
If Christ created a check list of all the characteristics and attributes he wanted in a Bride, we would certainly fail on a daily basis. Yet he loves us beyond our comprehension. We've hurt Him; He forgives us. We've rejected Him; He tells us to come to Him as we are. We've forgotten him; He always has us in His thoughts.
Ahh, He has shown us TRUE love on that mount where all lives were spared. How sweet Love is.
One more thing...I've given my heart to God. I'm not here to look for someone to win my heart. It's a imperfect, yucky, wretched, broken, heart that you'd probably wouldn't want anyways. God has my heart though and He renews and revives it everyday. I'm not not not not not not not not not a perfect Christian. Nothing close to it. I try my best and I'm thankful that God accepts that.
