I am looking for friends only. I have had too many negative experiences (even with people who say that they too are also only looking for friends -- but then despite supposedly being Christians they completely ignore you and don't even have the courtesy to say they are no longer interested when they inexplicably change their minds). Anyway, I think I am a pretty interesting person -- and I'd like you to know that, actually, there is nothing wrong with me (in case you are starting to get that impression). However, because of my location, I would rather just be friends with other Adventists for the time being (and if you ever happen to travel to Perth, Australia, I can be a free tour guide for you -- there are many beautiful places to see that the guide books don't tell you about)! PS. I travel a lot, and am planning to teach English in Russia, China and Indonesia (among other places) in the near future. That's why I am only interested in platonic friendships. I am choosing not to have children or commit myself to marriage at this stage (I think I am better off on my own -- and despite liking children, there are many avenues for enjoying their company other than having your own). If you are interested in sharing ideas and experiences, or just having an Adventist friend from another country, please feel welcome to contact me!

I really love reading. My secular (hobby related) goals over the next few years include climbing Mt Damavand (in Iran) and Mt Elbrus (in Russia). I enjoy discovering other cultures. I have spent a year in Georgia (the country) teaching English to primary school children, and I have good friends in Nepal whom I visit as regularly as I can. I have also spent time in Morocco and a few other 'non-western' countries. I like swimming and cycling too (I once cycled around France with my father and a couple of his friends). I used to cycle to work and back everyday when I worked as a nurse (46km round trip), although I get a bit slack when I don't have a destination to get to.
